Pictured is a juvenile rat captured in a vertical set using a Comstock Swing Panel Double Door 5x5x24 squirrel trap, C5524. These traps have unequaled versatility, designed and built to be set in any position, right side up, sideways, upside down, even vertically as shown. Utilizing a hinged panel for a trigger instead of a conventional pan, these traps will humanely catch small rodents coming or going, on land, in water or under water. We use them for gray squirrels, chipmunks, flying squirrels and muskrats while some use them for roof rats and barn rats too.
