This is a typical and not uncommon beaver feed pile found in a boat house on a large lake. Beaver often put up feed in boat houses and live either under the decking or in a bank den inside the boat house. With bubblers and circulators running all winter to keep the ice away from the boat house both beaver and otter will frequent the open water. We found a pair at this location, which is common, 28 and 32 pounds. With a subtile dished our run next to the wall, the Comstock swim through beaver cage trap with powered doors and wire trigger did the trick once again.
