We finally got around to setting a couple of traps to remove the varmints at our house. The larger cage, a 12x12x36 single door trap with a bait door was set for ‘possum. After catching one the next catch was a bluejay. Cat food was used for bait. This shows trigger sensitivity. A number of times we have caught birds of all kinds, even chickadees in swing panel squirrel traps.
With squirrels living in the barn, we set a couple of of the 6x6x24 inch traps, with bait sprinkled in the bottom and got a couple of red squirrels.
